A lot of people don’t like the taste of lavender alone because it’s too floral. Maybe the taste resembles the smell of your hand soap or lotion or candles or body wash or floor cleaner or all purpose spray or liquid dish soap… Yeah, almost everything I have is lavender-scented, too.
Since I’m conducting tea experiments, I cold brewed my loose-leaf lavender tea. It’s just dried lavender flowers and has a subtle taste that isn’t too soapy or grandma-y. Newly adventurous tea-tasters should give it a try.
This is a nice sub for hot lavender tea before bed, or when you want something refreshing without caffeine.
Lavender is supposed to be relaxing, too, but can cause drowsiness. That’s why I like to have it in the evening. The only bad thing about having herbal tea at night is the extra trips to the bathroom while you’re trying to chill and read. Worth it for tasty magic teas tho.
I coated the bottom of my glass with a thicc helping of honey because the two pair perfectly together with nothing else but your spooky cup and eco-friendly straw.
My mystery dessert is Kheer — Indian rice pudding from my local spot. RIP the weekend buffet that is now a thing of the past thanks to COVID, 😢 it’s a thing of the past along with mostly everything else I like to do. Never forget the people and buffet lines lost to coronavirus. 😿💔
This got dark so quickly. It’s a good thing we had some relaxing lavender tea with dessert tonight.
By the way, the color of this tea is very subtle translucent
